This week, INetU employees participated in an overwhelmingly successful Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive! Each department created a decorative basket packed with tasty goodies like canned vegetables, mashed potatoes, ingredients to make a pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and any other surprises they wished. INetU also contributed a turkey voucher for each basket so recipients will have a full Thanksgiving meal.
The baskets were given to the Mosser Village Family Center. The Mosser Village Family Center is a non-profit organization representing residents in the East Side of Allentown. We are very happy to have helped the Center provide filling Thanksgiving meals to local families.
To get in the seasonal spirit of giving, our Community Involvement Team turned the basket drive into a contest. Employees could vote for their favorite basket, but not their own departments’ design. We also allowed our Facebook fans to “like” photos of the baskets, which counted for an additional point.
Accounting was the winning department, hands down! They did some great Facebook lobbying to increase their votes. Congrats to the Accounting team!
